In short
Gumb is an app for environmental and conservation groups. Group leaders plan clean-ups, planting days and conservation work as events, volunteers say yes by the response deadline, and material such as gloves, bags or tools becomes tasks right on the event. If an event is called off because of the weather, it stays visible as “Canceled”, and you inform the municipality or partners by email straight from Gumb.
From email chaos to a full action day
What costs environmental groups time before every action, and how Gumb fixes it.
Without Gumb: How many join the clean-up, you only learn at the meeting point.
With Gumb: Volunteers respond by the response deadline. You plan material and areas for the right number.
Without Gumb: Who brings tools, bags and gloves stays open.
With Gumb: Material becomes tasks on the event. Everyone sees who brings what.
Without Gumb: When it rains you cancel the conservation day, and not everyone finds out.
With Gumb: You switch the event to “Canceled”. It stays visible, and a push notification goes out if you want.
Without Gumb: The municipality asks how many volunteers took part.
With Gumb: You export attendance per action as an Excel file.

I manage my Jungwacht youth group with this app. It works excellently. Everything clearly in one place! Even the CEO (Dominik) personally takes time to talk to you and asks for suggestions for improvement
Great app, works even for very large clubs. Highly recommended.

FAQ: the app for environmental groups
How do I know before a clean-up how many volunteers are coming?
Create the action as an event with a response deadline. Volunteers say yes with one click, and you see live how many are in. That way you plan material and areas to fit.
How do I hand out tools and material?
Create tasks such as “Bags”, “Gloves” or “Tools” and turn them on for the action. Volunteers sign up themselves, and everyone sees who brings what.
What do I do if an action is called off because of the weather?
Switch the event to an event type such as “Canceled” instead of deleting it. That way it stays visible, and after you edit it Gumb asks whether everyone should be notified.
Can I inform the municipality or partners without a Gumb account?
Yes. Admins and group leaders send emails from the web app and can add up to 100 external addresses. Recipients do not see who else received the email.
How do I document how many volunteers took part?
Under Statistics you export the attendance report as an Excel file, filtered by period, event type and project.
Can several projects plan separately?
Yes. Every project gets its own group scheduler, and group events are only visible to its members. Actions for everyone sit in the shared calendar.
Where do I store area maps?
Right on the action's event or in the project's folder. Files can be up to 50 MB each.
