In short

Gumb is an app for civil protection. Officers plan refresher courses, drills, officer briefings and community service deployments as events, civil protection members confirm or cancel by the response deadline, and attendance can be exported as an Excel file filtered by period, event type and group. Large rosters are entered upfront by the administration, and Gumb sends the invitations. Gumb is not an emergency alerting app and does not replace alerting.

We use this system in our aid organisation and at work. We are very happy with it, as we had been looking for a working and reliable system for a long time. The app offers many options, including staff and equipment management, and above all makes our work easier. Simply recommendable. A clear 5-star rating

FAQ: the app for civil protection

Does Gumb replace alerting in civil protection?

No. Gumb is not an emergency alerting app and does not replace alerting. Gumb organizes everything that can be planned: refresher courses, drills, officer briefings and community service deployments.

How do I get a large roster into Gumb?

The administration enters members upfront, and Gumb sends the invitation. Alternatively, people join through the community link and you approve the join request.

Can members be required to explain an absence?

Yes. In the settings under “Answers” you define the answers with name and color and make a comment mandatory for one of them, for example for the cancellation.

How do I document attendance for the municipality?

Under Statistics you export the attendance report, with one row per person and event, as an Excel file filtered by period, event type and group. Every admin and every group leader can download the reports.

Can platoons and sections plan separately?

Yes. Every platoon or section gets its own group scheduler, and group events are only visible to its members. Events for the whole organization are visible to everyone.

Can I reach the municipality or partners without a Gumb account?

Yes. Admins and group leaders send emails from the web app, with attachments and up to 100 external addresses. Recipients do not see who else received the email.

Do admins see all personal data of members?

No. Members decide in their settings which admins can access their profile.

Can several civil protection organizations work under one subscription?

Yes, from the Premium plan. There you manage several communities, each with its own main calendar. On the Pro plan you work with one community and up to 20 group schedulers.
