In short
Gumb is a handball app for clubs and teams. Coaches plan gym practices as recurring events and games with their own event type, players or parents respond by the response deadline, and the game squad is marked with a star. Duties such as timekeeper, scorekeeper or the bake sale on home game day become tasks right on the event. Practice attendance can be exported per player as an Excel file, and Swiss clubs get the J+S export.
From chat chaos to an organized home game day
What costs handball coaches time every week, and how Gumb fixes it.
Without Gumb: Before the game you count in the chat who can make it.
With Gumb: Players respond by the response deadline. You plan the game with the squad that will really be there.
Without Gumb: Every week you look for new volunteers as timekeeper and scorekeeper.
With Gumb: The duties become tasks on the home game. Members sign up themselves, and you see open gaps.
Without Gumb: On home game day nobody knows who runs the till and the bake sale.
With Gumb: Till, bake sale and setup are tasks on the event, with names next to them.
Without Gumb: Who came to practice how often is written down nowhere.
With Gumb: You export practice attendance per player as an Excel file, and the penalty dot marks missed practices.

FAQ: the handball app
How do I cover timekeeper and scorekeeper at home games?
Create “Timekeeper” and “Scorekeeper” once as tasks and turn them on for home games. Members sign up in the scheduler, or admins assign them directly. That way you see before every game whether both duties are covered.
How do I organize helpers for home game day?
With tasks such as till, bake sale or setup right on the event. Members sign up themselves, and everyone sees who takes on what.
How do I mark the squad?
Mark the squad with a star. It is the call-up for the game: admins set it and the player sees it. If you want, the game reminder goes to the squad only.
How do I track missed handball practices?
With the penalty dot for past events. It can also be used as a penalty point, is visible to the player and shows up in the analysis per member.
How do parents respond for their child in youth handball?
Every child needs their own account with their own email address. Parents log into their child's account with the same credentials and respond for practice and league games. Admins can create children's accounts upfront, and a shared family login is in the works.
How do players change teams for the new season?
In the member matrix you tick the new teams, and every change is saved right away. The matrix is part of the Premium plans.
Does Gumb support J+S for handball clubs in Switzerland?
Yes. For J+S handball groups you export the attendance report as XLSX or CSV, with columns such as event ID, date and attendance status. You upload the file to the cantonal portal for the NDS import.
