In short
Gumb is a martial arts app for dojos and clubs. Instructors plan classes by group, such as kids, youth and adults, as recurring events and belt gradings, seminars and tournaments with their own event type, and members or parents respond by the response deadline. Class attendance can be exported per person as an Excel file, for example before a grading, and tasks such as laying out the mats are handed out right on the event.

FAQ: the martial arts app
How do I organize sign-ups for a belt grading?
Create the grading as its own event with a response deadline. Members sign up with one click. If you like, you make a comment mandatory for one answer, for example for the belt they are going for.
How do I see before a grading how often someone trained?
Under Statistics you export the attendance report, with one row per person and event, as an Excel file filtered by period, event type and group.
Can kids, youth and adults train separately?
Yes. Every class group gets its own group scheduler, and group events are only visible to its members. Seminars for everyone sit in the shared calendar.
How do I hand out laying out and stacking the mats?
Create “Mats out” and “Mats away” once as tasks and turn them on for classes. Members sign up themselves, or admins assign them.
How do parents respond for their child in kids' classes?
Every child needs their own account with their own email address. Parents log into their child's account with the same credentials and respond for class. Admins can create children's accounts upfront, and a shared family login is in the works.
Can I plan seminars with outside participants?
You plan the seminar as an event in Gumb. People without a Gumb account are informed by email from the web app, with up to 100 external addresses.
Is the J+S export available for martial arts clubs too?
Yes. For J+S martial arts groups you export the attendance report as XLSX or CSV. You can correct past answers beforehand and then export again.
